Is your glass half empty or is your glass half full?
I prefer to consider it half full

“Rejoice Always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” 1 Thessalonians: Chapter 5:verses 16-18  nkjv
Shortly after my diagnosis of ALS in January of 2012, I was listening on my car radio to a sermon by Pastor John MacArthur titled :”Rejoice Always”
In that sermon John make this statement:

Pastor MacArthur’s Statement
“There is NO event or circumstance that can occur in the life of ANY Christian that should diminish that Christian’s JOY”.
“Let me go further: If there is an event or circumstance apart from sin that does diminish your JOY, you have Sinned”.

John MacArthur, in this sermon, then goes on to give detailed reasons why & how every Christian can have this JOY & why & how a Christian can miss or lose this JOY.
He also states that it is not humanly possible to maintain this “joy” except by the power of the Holy Spirit residing within us.

This is the way I face each day…by the power of Christ within me.

This Song Says It All for me… for us
LET IT BE SAID OF US
sung by Emily Dickey

lyrics
Let it be said of us that the Lord was our passion,
That with gladness we bore every cross we were given;
That we fought the good fight, and we finished the course;
Knowing within us the power of the risen Lord.

CHORUS:
Let the cross be our glory and the Lord be our song!
By mercy made holy, by the Spirit made strong.
Let the cross be our glory and the Lord be our song!
Till the likeness of Jesus be through us made known.
Let the cross be our glory and the Lord be our song.

Let it be said of us, we were marked by forgiveness;
We were known by our love and delighted in mercy;
We were ruled by His peace, heeding unity’s call,
Joined as one body that Christ would be seen by all.

A thought for us all:
If you lost everything except what you thanked God for today, what would you have left???

I know that I, for one, would have little left some days.  How about you?
